I was a very bad picture taker (I say this because in no way am I a photographer) this week. I have very few photos to share with you this week. Lets hope next week will be better!
I am linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged, sharing my phone photos via instagram for insta-friday. Are you doing this too? Let me know in the comments and I will follow your blog.
Jessica started her science fair experiment over the weekend. Can you guess what she is doing? One thing we learned, more food coloring is WAY better to dye the flowers than just 5 drops that she started out with. I should have taken an after photo but I failed this week.
Surprise Mother's Day flowers for Jessica's mom. We are a little quirky and make you cover your eyes to receive a gift. These flowers were absolutely beautiful. I loved the mix of different types and all the bright colors.
Mother's Day was wonderful and relaxing. I headed over to my grandmother's home to be with her, my mother and brother and sister for a little time sunning by the pool. It was nice to just catch up with everyone.
For dinner I caught up with my husband and the rest of the gang (Jessica (stepdaughter), Kristy (Jessica's mom) and Ned (Kristy's Boyfriend). They had a fun day at the beach. After getting cleaned up we headed out to Anaheim's Garden Walk and PF Chang's. The girls did a little shopping while we waited to be seated.
I picked up these new sunnies, courtesy of my hunny. As soon as I tried them on I knew I had to have them. Just in case your wondering they are by Versace.
When we walked in to PF Changs this guy stood high and mighty over me and I knew that my food was going to be protected! :)
I love getting news that a photographer is done editing photos from a wedding (especially when it was only 2.5 weeks ago). I will have my own blog post of photos soon. YES, can you believe it. I will actually blog about a wedding!
I snapped this photo on the way out this morning. Today is Hawaiian day at school. So Jessica wore a dress her mom brought back from Hawaii, a plumeria necklace and hair clip. She looked super adorable.

Insta-Friday 5/11/12
Oh Man, this week was crazy. I can't believe it is already Friday but I am yet so happy that Friday is here.
I have been preparing for Mother's Day, my husband's birthday (who insists on having a party!) and since Wednesday night I have been nursing a toothache in the form of my wisdom teeth (OUCH!).
For now I am linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged for Insta-Friday.
Friday night we hit up Angel Stadium with our besties. Club seats are the best! I just love ordering food and having it delivered to me at a game. We lost the game but still had a great time.
Sunday we visited the Renaissance Faire. This was our second year so we knew a little bit more of what to expect. Last year I was so not prepared. We watched two shows and Jason even got up on stage for one. Jessica is a total animal lover so we let her check out the petting zoo.
Healthier eating calls for lots of veggies. Trying to keep away from the in the can stuff calls for a little experimentation. This was our second time with brussel sprouts. They are super yummy. Too bad not everyone thinks so. ;)
As I mentioned Jason's birthday was this week. Tradition is dinner on your birthday, whether or not you are having a party with friends another night. He chose Fire & ice. Its a fun place that you can pick all of your raw ingredients and put it in a bowl, head over to this large counter and they cook it right in front of you on this huge circle grill. We have been here before and it was a great place to come back to.
They even made Jason stand on a chair with his birthday cake while everyone in the restaurant sang to him!
I have been trying to keep up with the photo a day challenge. Day 9 (hubby's birthday) was to photograph something you do everyday. I thought it only appropriate for it to be of us kissing. Awwww.
Day 10 was a favorite word. I chose love. It's what I do and who I am. I am in love with love. That is why I became a wedding planner. Being around love everyday you tend to never be in a bad mood.
That's it for this week. Check back next Friday to see whats going on in my world.

Insta-Friday 5/4/12
This week just flew by, as all the other weeks have. I can't believe that it is already MAY! Where has this year gone...
I am linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged for this weeks installment of insta-friday. Won't you join me?
I had a wedding at the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach this past weekend. I was a little worried about the weird weather we had been having but the weekend turned out beautiful. Friday night was the on site wedding rehearsal.
The Waterfront Hilton has a gorgeous Wedding Events Meeting room. Beautiful tablescapes are displayed to lend a little inspiration for future brides. The display they had this day was orange and blue and they pulled it off wonderfully.
Here is a quick shot I got of HB on Saturday. It was quite a busy day as the weather could not have been more perfect.
The ceremony set up was just up my alley. I loved all that purple that was going on. I can't wait to see how the professional shots turn out.
I could not help myself. I had to post these photos again. Just a few detail shots from throughout the day. I shared them all on instagram but I wanted to put them here too. Congratulations to Denise & Alfredo! I hope you are enjoying yourselves in Australia.
As I said earlier, the weather has been wacky lately. Last week was crazy gloomy then it brightened up for the weekend (I have my theory that it was for Denise & Alfredo's wedding) and then turned yucky again and has been all week. I even caught a few sprinkles one morning.
Every other week or so we hit up Costco on Sundays. Eating healthy requires fresh food and lots of it. This past Sunday was our week to shop. On Monday night we had gone through almost 24 whole wheat sandwich thins. What the heck! How is this possible? I don't even eat bread, where did it all go?
That little lesson will teach us that 24 pairs of sandwich thins is not enough for our family. That also required a second trip to Costco for just that one item. When you eat that many you must buy in bulk. I picked up two more packages. I hope this lasts us till our next trip.
I also made a quick stop at the fuel line. Have you ever shopped at Costo for gas? Well if you haven't the gas price is great but that line, sometimes it's just not worth it. This day wasn't too bad.
After a long day on my feet Saturday I was in serious need of a little pampering. Pedicures are the best cure for that. For my color choice I went for neon pink. I almost braved it for neon orange but when I saw that pink I was sold. I am so ready for summer!
I am trying to keep up with the photo a day challenge this month. This say I was to take a photo of something I wore. I chose my wedding ring as it is my favorite thing to wear.
That's it for this week. It's Cinco de Mayo weekend. What do you have planned?

Insta-Friday 4/27/12
WOW! This week went by in a flash.
I had been feeling sluggish all week up until yesterday afternoon then something just clicked. I started feeling better. I didn't do anything different. Could it have possibly been my subconscious telling me that I had a busy weekend coming up and I better get better.
Today is Jason's grandmother's 79th Birthday and as he posted on FB she is just as feisty as ever! So tonight we will be taking her to her favorite restaurant for dinner, Red Lobster. I just have to stay away from those deadly biscuits they give out.
However, before I go stuff my face I will be conducting a wedding rehearsal at the beautiful Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach. Seriously this is the ultimate beachy resort. With the ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean, I can't wait for tomorrow. Oh, and you bet I will be sharing photos!
So, lets get on with this weeks edition of insta-friday! I am linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged.
I have been SO good with my no carb diet this week. Friday night I made Chicken Saute with rosemary. I though it was delish. I have really been trying to cook more, I just need to follow a recipe.
On Saturday, I went out with my husband to show my support in his business. He is always so supportive with me, it was my turn to give back. Saleen was hosing an open house in Corona. The cars on display were gorgeous!
The 2013 tail lights on display had everyone wishing they had come out with these earlier. I guess it's time to upgrade!
This Saleen S7 supercar was on display and Steve even did a photo session in front so that anyone could take a picture with him.
Steve's daughter, Molly, drives this hot pink mustang. It is an amazing color. This picture does not do it justice.
After the open house was over, a few members of the SOEC (Saleen Owners and Enthusiasts Club) headed out for a special dinner with Steve Saleen. Before dinner I walk outside and say this beautiful flower. It was so vibrant.
I took a picture of my dinner so that I could hold myself accountable for staying on my diet. I guess I should have taken an after photo of those mashed potatoes that were still on my plate at the end of the night, untouched! I have great will power. Especially when the guy across from me orders a chocolate souffle for dessert.
Saturday was great being by my hubby's side. Then on Sunday he treated us to Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona! LOVE!
What we didn't love was the line. I had called ahead and reserved us two lounge chairs on the Sole Terrace knowing that it would be busy and that I wanted a place that I could come back to. We showed up late (or so we thought), thinking that there would be no line. Oh boy, were we wrong! It took forever! Jason almost upgraded us to Club 1860 just so we wouldn't have to wait in line.
After we finally got in and settled. We ordered lunch. I had a turkey sandwich, without the bread! This view was perfect! I love the Sole Terrace. Thanks grandma for introducing me to it. After lunch it was off to my facial. BEST EVER! The whole day was amazing and spending the whole weekend with my husband was the icing on the cake (that I didn't eat!).
I started tanning again this week. I had so missed the relaxing time I get in that bed. I am really working on my summer beach bikini body.
Our neighbor owns the BEST pizza joint around. Whittier's very own, That's Amore Pizzeria. Seriously everything there is SO good. I know I post a lot about food but I use it to keep me on track. Anyway see that sticker up there on the wall that says 281? Yup, that's my husband business. We are all very supportive in each other.
I got this new air freshener last week. I LOVE it. And the packaging is not bad either, the black glitter gel is perfect for any girl car.
The weather this week has been super weird and to go along with it we had a tiny little earthquake. A 3.9 based out of San Juan is what I was told. We had rain one night then these clouds stayed. And what it seems like, just over my little city.
Well it is going to be another super excited weekend. I can't wait to get it started.
