Insta-Friday 7/20/12

It's been a rough week...

Rough week = not many photos = :(

Oh well, we can't all be perfect.  So here is what I got.

A not so fun weekend ended with a few drinks...well it tried :(

 A quick trip to Ikea for a super cool project in the works and I was met with construction.  Ikea was getting a facelift in the way of new paint.  Then walking inside and they were rearranging the display rooms.  It was kinda cool to see it all in motion and super motivational.

I had a few meetings this week.  This was a great part of my week.  Coffee Bean & Tea Leafs Pineapple drink blended.  So yummy!

My hubbs left Wednesday for Washington.  He is doing a lot of traveling this year for his company.  I was so sad to come home Wednesday night and walked into the bedroom.  Its been a lonely few days and still a few more to go.  He did send this pic the night he left...

He is having a great time!

Insta-Friday 7/13/12

OK, so this week did not go by as fast as the others have.  Maybe it's because I took the week off from home projects and crafting.  I started my workout this week and I am still trying to get into a routine that works.

So linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged to share all my instagram photos for the week.

These beautifully bright colored flowers were for my mom.  It was her birthday last Friday.

Said mother is a bit of a light weight and only drank 1/4 of her alcoholic beverage.

This precious little girl also celebrated the year of her birth on Saturday at a perfectly themed Breakfast at Audrey's first birthday party.  Is she not the sweetest thing you have ever seen?

Sunday's have been pool days at the Hilton Waterfront Resort.  It was so nice to sit and relax and soak up a few reys.

McDonald's have seriously been updating their efficiency lately (or maybe not lately, it has been a while since I have eaten fast food).  Two lanes for the drive through, adding your cream and sugar to your coffee for you, and a special dispenser for you cup lids that allow for only one to be grabbed at a time.  Thanks for helping rid waste McDonald's.

Crazy sun days and crazy busy parking lots.  Not a good day to just a quick run to the grocery store.

The Bowers Museum, such a beautiful location for a wedding.

Jessica has been cleaning out her room this summer.  She went through all her clothes and weeded out everything that doesn't fit.  When she was younger her life was all about the Disney Princesses well now that she is a tweener (for those of you that are not hip to that term it is the between stage of a kid and a teenager) she is totally over it.  Now it's all about dolphins!  So riding her room of all things princess then donating everything, turned in to two large trash bags of clothes, pillows and stuffed animals.  Then many more other bags of miscellaneous items.

Insta-Friday 7/6/12

I can't believe that it is Friday again.  Since starting this insta-friday weekly blog posting the weeks just seem to fly by.

My hubby is great at gift giving!  I got this beautiful necklace for our anniversary.  I have worn it every day.  Jason is just trying to figure a way to tack on a "more" at the end.

 

I am so spoiled and received two gifts.  This one is for my right hand.   5 diamonds for 5 years.

Morning after wedding breakfast at the Sugar Shack in Huntington Beach.  It was a busy day.

Then it was fun in the sun at the pool at the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach drinking Surf Heros getting out tan.

 Tuesday night, the city of La Mirada had a 3rd of July celebration (they always have it the night before the 4th).  There are so many people that make their way to the park for all the activities.  This year they had a few food trucks.  This is the one I chose and the Hawaiian chicken sliders were to die for.

 

About 9:15 its lights out at the park and the glow sticks shine through and we know the firework display is almost here.

The show was amazing.  I just love watching fireworks.  Our spot this year wasn't too great.  Next year we will move away from the trees.  But really there was not a bad view anywhere.

It was a real layed back 4th.  Brunch at our favorite spot then off to the movies.  Before a little shopping then dinner.  We raced home just in time for our streets annual block party firework display.  Seriously it goes off at our house!

I love that our neighbors all come out and watch the firework show.  Everyone buys fireworks and share in the fun.

Now, these ones we did not have but they were shooting off all around us.

Since I shared my anniversary gifts I thought it only appropriate to show off my husbands gift.  Its a tungsten carbide right with carbon fiber inlay.  He loves it and I am so happy.

Insta-Friday 6/29/30

It has been a good week...no wait...a GREAT week.  I have been super busy but a good kind of busy doing what I love.  Wedding prep, crafting and loving.  Loving my husband who has been married to me for 5 fabulous years.  Tomorrow we will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary, I am also coordinating a wedding.  I think there could be nothing greater to celebrate our love while watching another couple declare their love for each other. 

I am super proud of myself for taking so many photos this week.  I am liking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged for Insta-Friday.

Stuffing 330 gift bags for a charity event TWICE is not my idea of fun.  But it was for a good cause and I was happy to help.

Reading over 100 pages so that I can give the second book over to my speed reader, however, is fun.  And it makes the ending that much more intense.  I am just so glad she loves to read.  Now I have to finish the third book before she takes it from me!

Everything about this photos is strange.

Saturday was an exciting day, you'll see why shortly.  It started with some shopping then a stop at the car wash before all the excitement began.

This is what happened Saturday night!  I was apart of a special proposal, up on stage in front of hundreds of people.  It was so amazing.  And the look on her face...priceless!  Congratulations Ned & Kristy!

After the long night we were in need of some TLC.

This was the perfect addition to relax before another fun filled day.  And necessary to hurry up and finish this book before someone else gets her scrawny fingers on it.

Angles and Dodgers game was next on the agenda.  It was a sea of red white and blue, so patriotic!  Great game,  the Angles won!

Then we were off to Costco, remember what I said about eating healthy.  Well I meant it!  I have been sticking to it, however I didn't start until Monday.  Hey, it's hard trying to be good at a baseball game!

Monday morning I had a special delivery.  A beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered with a card that read "Thank you for 5 great years"  I love that man, he melts my heart.

Seriously loving our new bedding set.  Now just to replace the furniture...

That man I mentioned up there, well this is him, the one that melts my heart, every fun, silly and crazy thing about him.

Thursday wedding rehearsals are my fav.  Especially this one.  So happy to be apart of a wedding with such a great crowd of people.  I know their wedding will be everything they dreamed for and more.  Congratulations Candice & Brandon!  I can't wait for tomorrow.

Insta-Friday 6/22/12

Another week has past and its time for insta-friday again.

I have begun to really like doing insta's.  At the end of a fun week or tired week, whatever it may be, I get to reflect back on all that has happened.

I have been linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged for only a short time but have been having so much fun.  Follow along if you would like or join in on all the fun.  If you check back next week, I promise to bring fun and exciting news.

I have to admit that I have really been a bad eater since I returned from vacation.  I try but the motivation is drifted off somewhere and I can't seem to get it back.  I hope that by saying it here it will be my incentive.  

30 days

Work out and eat healthy.  I think I may allow one cheat day a week, but nothing over board.  There I have said it now lets hope I can keep to it.  I will be starting on Sunday and until then...its a free for all! OK, maybe not.  But I did eat this Sunday morning and I am so ashamed...

 

After that sinful delight we headed out to the beach, Dog Beach to be exact, in Huntington.  It was better than I thought it would be.  There were so many dogs just hanging out playing.  We popped up our tent and set out for a great day.

None of us had ever been to dog beach before including our old timer, Spike.  He wasn't quite sure what to make of it all.  There were so many other dogs around and the ocean, he didn't know quite what to make of it all.  He decided that he didn't like the water and was NOT going in.

Jessica made lots of friends that day, all in the furry & cute category.  She spent most of the day playing with others people's dogs.  I think they enjoyed it!

I spent the day soaking up the sun and reading.  I loved watching everyone play and have a great time.  I am just not much for salt water.  I had a few visitors in my tent.  They would just stop by to say hello.

One night last week turned into game night and this was the aftermath of it.  Not too bad, but I am sad to say that it is still that way today. Cleaning was not my thing this week.

This guy seems to have made a bed atop of my jewelery box.  He thinks its funny or cute but I don't.  Not when I have to pick him up off of it to get my earrings.  Lets just say that I haven't worn many earrings this week. :)
