5 Years, Its A Long Time

It's finally here!  That is the same thought I had the morning of my wedding.  You know some people say they didn't know if they would last, but I knew.  I knew walking down the aisle looking at his face that together we would make it.  We were meant for each other.

It has been an amazing journey of love and I cherish every moment we have.

I wanted to share some beautiful memories of our love on our wedding day.

Insta-Friday 6/29/30

It has been a good week...no wait...a GREAT week.  I have been super busy but a good kind of busy doing what I love.  Wedding prep, crafting and loving.  Loving my husband who has been married to me for 5 fabulous years.  Tomorrow we will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary, I am also coordinating a wedding.  I think there could be nothing greater to celebrate our love while watching another couple declare their love for each other.

I am super proud of myself for taking so many photos this week.  I am liking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged for Insta-Friday.

Stuffing 330 gift bags for a charity event TWICE is not my idea of fun.  But it was for a good cause and I was happy to help.

Reading over 100 pages so that I can give the second book over to my speed reader, however, is fun.  And it makes the ending that much more intense.  I am just so glad she loves to read.  Now I have to finish the third book before she takes it from me!

Everything about this photos is strange.

Saturday was an exciting day, you'll see why shortly.  It started with some shopping then a stop at the car wash before all the excitement began.

This is what happened Saturday night!  I was apart of a special proposal, up on stage in front of hundreds of people.  It was so amazing.  And the look on her face...priceless!  Congratulations Ned & Kristy!

After the long night we were in need of some TLC.

This was the perfect addition to relax before another fun filled day.  And necessary to hurry up and finish this book before someone else gets her scrawny fingers on it.

Angles and Dodgers game was next on the agenda.  It was a sea of red white and blue, so patriotic!  Great game,  the Angles won!

Then we were off to Costco, remember what I said about eating healthy.  Well I meant it!  I have been sticking to it, however I didn't start until Monday.  Hey, it's hard trying to be good at a baseball game!

Monday morning I had a special delivery.  A beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered with a card that read "Thank you for 5 great years"  I love that man, he melts my heart.

Seriously loving our new bedding set.  Now just to replace the furniture...

That man I mentioned up there, well this is him, the one that melts my heart, every fun, silly and crazy thing about him.

"Well I see trees of green
And red roses too
I watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world"
This is a verse from a very special song that was played during our wedding.  It is by Iz Kamakawiwo'ole called "What a Wonderful World"

Thursday wedding rehearsals are my fav.  Especially this one.  So happy to be apart of a wedding with such a great crowd of people.  I know their wedding will be everything they dreamed for and more.  Congratulations Candice & Brandon!  I can't wait for tomorrow.

Insta-Friday 6/22/12

Another week has past and its time for insta-friday again.

I have begun to really like doing insta's.  At the end of a fun week or tired week, whatever it may be, I get to reflect back on all that has happened.

I have been linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged for only a short time but have been having so much fun.  Follow along if you would like or join in on all the fun.  If you check back next week, I promise to bring fun and exciting news.

I have to admit that I have really been a bad eater since I returned from vacation.  I try but the motivation is drifted off somewhere and I can't seem to get it back.  I hope that by saying it here it will be my incentive.

30 days

Work out and eat healthy.  I think I may allow one cheat day a week, but nothing over board.  There I have said it now lets hope I can keep to it.  I will be starting on Sunday and until then...its a free for all! OK, maybe not.  But I did eat this Sunday morning and I am so ashamed...

After that sinful delight we headed out to the beach, Dog Beach to be exact, in Huntington.  It was better than I thought it would be.  There were so many dogs just hanging out playing.  We popped up our tent and set out for a great day.

None of us had ever been to dog beach before including our old timer, Spike.  He wasn't quite sure what to make of it all.  There were so many other dogs around and the ocean, he didn't know quite what to make of it all.  He decided that he didn't like the water and was NOT going in.

Jessica made lots of friends that day, all in the furry & cute category.  She spent most of the day playing with others people's dogs.  I think they enjoyed it!

I spent the day soaking up the sun and reading.  I loved watching everyone play and have a great time.  I am just not much for salt water.  I had a few visitors in my tent.  They would just stop by to say hello.

One night last week turned into game night and this was the aftermath of it.  Not too bad, but I am sad to say that it is still that way today. Cleaning was not my thing this week.

This guy seems to have made a bed atop of my jewelery box.  He thinks its funny or cute but I don't.  Not when I have to pick him up off of it to get my earrings.  Lets just say that I haven't worn many earrings this week. :)

Have a great weekend!  And don't forget to check in next week.

Insta-Friday 6/15/12

I can't believe it is Friday already!  This week just flew by, I had so much going on.  And of course, I didn't document much of it.  (Well really there was a lot of it that I was not able to photograph, super secret project in the works)

So here I am linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged sharing my instagram photos from the week.  You can link up too...

Sundays are family days at our house and we try to do something new and fun every week.  This weeks trip included a trip into downtown LA.  I used to be so intimidated by the city but now it is just a bunch of super tall buildings.

The California Science Center is hosting an exhibit on Cleopatra.  There were artifacts found from over 2000 years ago.  The condition some of the items were in was amazing.  I may just do a whole post on just the exhibit.  I love history and visiting museums, maybe I should have been a history major.

Out front of the Science Center was a huge lever pull with a 2400lb Toyota truck attached.  There was 4 different positions to pull from (the closer to the truck the more difficult to lift the truck).  Jessica pulled the #1 pull and was so excited she could lift the truck.  Then my muscle man hubby went up to the #4 pull and like nothing lifted the truck up off the ground no problem.

Inside the center were 2 fighter jets and after posting a photo of them on facebook I found out that they are "That is a T38 Talon. It's a trainer used by the Navy and the Air Force. Very quick plane."

Tuesday was the last day of school for my little cutie pie and this is the dress she picked out to wear.  She looked so adorable but dang those legs are long.

While cleaning out the garage a few weeks ago, my hubby found a box of books of mine.  The contents included old year books and some of my favorite books growing up that I purchased new for my own children one day.  In this box was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.  This book now sits on my desk in my home office and I love it.

While driving down the 5 freeway this morning I saw a spot in the sky...and let me tell you I don't believe in spaceships or aliens but, the first thing that popped in to my head was SPACESHIP!  I couldn't believe it, I started laughing so uncontrollably.  As I got closer I realized that it was just the GoodYear blimp.

That's the end of insta-friday for this week.  This weekend is Father's Day.  What are your plans?

Insta-Friday 6/8/12

It's Friday AGAIN!  I can't believe it.  Taking a week off was just what I needed to re-energize myself and gear up for the rest of this year.

Just to update you, my hubby and I took off for a week in Pennsylvania.  Pennsylvania you ask?  12 years ago his father moved there and Jason had never visited him (they always made the trip to Cali).  It just so happens that this trip coincided with Fords at Carlisle (a huge national car show).  How convenient huh?  I opted to go and get a little vacay in with some sightseeing.

We landed in Pittsburgh about 12:30AM Wednesday night (or morning, which ever way you see it).  Then there was the 45 minute drive to a tiny town called Plum.

After some sleep we loaded up the car and head out to Harrisburg (about a 3 hour drive) to our hotel.  For more sleep.  Then it was an early morning up to Carlisle for FORDS at Carlisle.  Now I have to tell you, people in this town or where ever they came from are quite different...

A big part of why we attended the show was for this car...

Jason is a sponsor for this vehicle.  The owners were so happy to see us and we brought along a little surprise for them.  Custom designed shirts that match the cars design.  The shirts were sold at the show for donations to the owners charity.

Around 3PM the weather stared to turn and we knew a storm was headed in.  We hightailed it out of the show and off to Hershey.  Our first stop was the museum, The Hershey Story.  We were taken back in time to the birth of Mr. Hershey himself and through the development of a little town that came to be known as Hershey, PA.

The museum is newly built in 2010 and was absolutely beautiful.  There was so much to see and do.  I wish I could have stayed longer but we got there towards the end of the day and they were closing.

Next we wanted to check out Chocolate World.
On the way in I got a glimpse of some Amish folks.  We never made it to Lancaster, PA to check out the Amish experience, but I hope to on another trip.

There was so much going on at Chocolate World we didn't know where to start.  Our first look was the 3D Experience show.  It was more geared for kids and I wish they would have told us that but it was still cute.

Then it was our turn to make our own chocolate bar.  I was so stoked to do this.  We have to get sanitized (i.e. hair nets, aprons and hand cleaner) go touch a few monitors and make our selections.  When I open mine I will show you all what I put inside.  Then we got to create our own label, mine was purple of course!

Next up was the factory tour.  I loved this part and everything about this photo!
I think we chose a bad day to check out Chocolate World as there were thousands of teeny-boppers around.  I think there was a middle school choir competition that day.  The gift shop was so crowded but that didn't prevent us from making a tiny dent in there supply.

I think this post is getting a bit too long, I don't want to bore you to death, so I will just pick up tomorrow with part 2 of this insta-friday vacay edition.

Don't forget I am linking up with Jeannette from Life Rearranged.  You can join in the fun too if you would like!
