Breakfast with Audrey

We have all heard of the famous Audrey Hepburn and the even more famous movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.  There could be no better first birthday than one designed from her namesake.

A over-the-top event is a must when your mother is an amazing florist.  And that is just what this event was. Our custom Tiffany box invitation set the theme of the event before it even began. With a gorgeous base of custom linens for the dining and dessert tables from Glo Concepts.  The Tiffany blue colored satin linens lined the 30' family style dining table.  Glass chargers were topped with blush pink napkins that held our custom designed menus for each table setting.  Also, atop the napkins were custom Tiffany boxed tied up with white ribbon and of course awaiting inside were candy rings.  Each setting was reserved for a special member of Audrey's family which were held by our customized place cards.

The entire center length of the table was adorned with the opulent florals of Entwined Design.  Taken directly from the designer herself here is the description, "Clusters of White vessels lined the center of the family style table and held florals such as Peonies, White Hydrangea, Dusty Miller, Lisianthus, Ranunculus, Garden Roses, Parrot Tulips and Phalaenopsis Orchids. Two large Chandeliers were constructed out of White Hydrangea, Parrot Tulips and several stems of Phalaenopsis Orchids."

The dessert table was dazzling in sparkles.  A gorgeous silver sequined linen held place for some beautiful and tasty sweets.  The Tiffany cake box with cherry filling was created by a family friend along with with the color coordinated and sparkling cake pops.  Marble cupcakes topped with pink frosting and tiny pearls rounded out the sweets. Beautiful florals flanked the table that was backed with a silver backdrop with hand crafted tissue flowers.  We also crafted a special designed banner that fit perfectly with the events theme.  The beautiful photos below were taken by the very talented Casey from AmandaBevington.com.

Barnyard Birthday Bash!

Oink, Oink! Moo, Moo! Cock-a-doodle Do!
This party was so much fun to do!  OK, OK, enough with all the rhyming. 

We partnered up with Marci from Entwined Design for another awesome event.  If you haven't guessed it yet the theme was Barnyard Farm Animals for a 1st Birthday.  This special little one has already had 2 designer events and he doesn't even know it yet.  JP was the the lucky guy to have this sweet blue and yellow elephant themed baby shower.

We were thrilled to be making some super fun, crafty and creative products for this event.  The ED team worked hard in constructing the A.MAZ.ING barn scene setter.  We just knew a pennant style Yee-Haw banner would be perfect to hang from it to serve as the back ground to the sweets table. 

The sweets table was so yummy it was hard to keep our sticky fingers away while decorating it with wood crates to hold up the barn animal cake pops and rice crispy and twizzler hay bales.  Wood planks were used to display the cupcakes with our adorable little animal toppers (there were 5 of them: horse, cow, pig, chick & sheep).  Old fashioned milk bottles were on display with cow spot paper straws.  Vases of daisy pom poms flanked the two tiered farm themed cake.  This cake has to be one of the cutest I have seen.  The sides had trees and sheep and cows and clouds but I have to say the cake topper was my favorite and cute little oink oink piggy was ridding in the back of a blue pick-up truck.

Guest tables consisted of multiple 8 foot long tables covered in red and white gingham, we took away the normal chairs and added in bales of hay covered with bandanas for comfort.  Each guest was given their own straw hat at their place setting which also had cow spotted plates and cups with utensils wrapped with bandana napkins tied with strings of hay.  Two extremely large urns were filled to the brim with over 300 Teddy Bear Sunflowers and mixed with Seeded Eucalyptus and Smilax. Also, lining the center of the tables were wooden boxes filled with Daisy Pom Poms and Crespedia (Billy Balls).

The birthday boy had a special seat just for him that was designated with a birthday cowboy sign hung with hay.  Another pennant banner labeled the food and drink area as "Glup-n-Grub".  A birthday invitation and menu were also created to finish out the Barnyard Extravaganza.

Happy Anniversary: Krystal & William!

Wow!  This year has just flown by.  I know most people say that every year around this time but it's true.  I can't believe that it has been a whole year since Krystal and Williams wedding.

On this date one year ago I was witness to a beautiful union between two special people.  Krystal, my childhood best friend and her soul mate William.  I thought that I would post a few photos to reminisce a bit.

It is the best feeling in the world when you make a true connection with your clients.  It has been this way with one of my couples from last year.  Today is their one year anniversary.  I would just like to wish them both a very Happy Anniversary!
