Baby Shower: Woodland Themed

Do you remember that photo in my introduction post?  The one with the the adorable banner (not to float my own boat or anything :)  Yeah, that one, the one where I said I would show you more soon.  Well soon is now!

This Woodland themed baby shower was designed and created by the guest of honor herself, Marci Gerlach of Entwined Design.  Marci's love for flowers and her Baby-to-Be's nursery were the inspiration for the party.  Not going the over the top rustic theme Marci choose the more girly route utilizing her favorite flower ranunculus in every color imaginable. After some collaboration Marci and I had a plan and executed it to a T.

As guests entered the party they were greeted with a beautiful flower tree display to be used as a part of the guest book.  I created little owls and birds to be used as a guest book for the guests to write words of wisdom and hang on the tree.  The rectangle tables were formed into a U shape to make for a more intimate space.  Centerpieces for the tables included grape wood branches with vases of ranunculus weaved throughout.  Succulents were also placed atop the branches along with small glass birds.  Included on the square folded napkin were the cookie favors in shape of little birds and tied with handmade "Thank You" tags.

Banners were also custom made to hang over the dessert table simply stating "Sweet Treats" and along the wall announcing to everyone "It's A Girl"  A family friend created the sweet owl cake, taking creative freedom and inspiration from the invitation.  The cake was not only pretty it tasted amazing too!   Also included on the sweets table were cupcakes in white and chocolate with pink frosting with handmade owl toppers.  Lemonade and pink lemonade were served for the guests refreshment each labeled with their own handmade sign.  Mommy and Daddy to be also had their own custom chair signs.

With all the details that were going to be present Marci contacted an amazingly talented photographer, Amanda, from Amanda Bevington Modern Photography to capture it all.  Enough talk about the details, I know you all want to see the photos.  So here they are...

Engagement Session: Krystal & William

I received these images a while ago and do you know why I waited to post them...because...because...I have no idea.  These totally fabulous images are not something I should have held back.  I promise the next time I receive images from a photographer I will not keep them from you.

I have known Krystal since before she was born.  Our moms were best friends growing up and still are.  We were as close as sisters but told everyone that we were cousins cause we didn't look at all alike.  We lost touch over our adult years until recently when she contacted me to help plan her wedding.  I was completely honored and can't wait for the big day, 11-12-11.

Now lets get on to the details.  This photo shoot was done over two days and two locations.  The OC Fair is a great spot for some casual fun shots which they totally embraced all that the fair had to offer.  Next they were off to the Wilderness Preserve that gave way for more romantic personal shots.  Enough talking lets show you those images.
